My Experience with Sephora Super Nourishing lipbalm-

This lipbalm is my Holy grail! It makes my lips soft and nourished without any stickiness. I have used so many lipbalms from different brands but nothing worked like this one. It keeps my lips smooth and makes it lipstick ready. I make sure I apply this lipbalm before I put on any lipstick to avoid any dryness or flakiness. This lip balm is not tinted, it’s a clear lipbalm. It smells heavenly and I am not kidding when I say its addictive. I reach out to my lipbalm every hour because of the vanilla fragrance. This is always in my handbag, so that I can reapply on the go. The lip balm somehow gives a very healthy and plumper effect to the lips. You can also opt this if you are looking for a clear gloss for your lips. No doubt! I finished it so soon. I am sure to restock this one. The only downside would be the price. But it’s Sephora! What do you expect?

Pros

  • Makes my lips soft, smooth and indeed nourishing
  • Gives healthy, plumper lips
  • Heavenly vanilla fragrance
  • Very addictive
  • Travel friendly
  • Hygienic packaging
  • Beats dryness and flakiness
  • Works as a great lipprimer
  • Free from animal testing
  • Dermatologically tested

 Cons

  • Price
  • Availability (only at Sephora Stores)

Ratings– 4.8/5

My Recommendation– The next time you go to Sephora do pick this lipbalm you will totally understand why I wrote what I wrote. Because of this lipbalm all other lipbalms are just lying out there in my stash. I am definitely getting another one as soon as I finish this.

Beauty Shopping Experience with Jabong.com!

Hello beauties,

Beauty Shopping Experience with Jabong.com

I know its been like ages that I have pen down something. I have been MIA from Snapchat, Instagram etc. Nevertheless, Life look much sorted now and things started looking up. I got a new job which I will be starting from Monday. I am pretty excited and nervous. I realised that a person should never sit idle. An idle mind is a devil’s workshop. I took a break from my work and I am resuming soon. Well, I want to share my beauty shopping experience from Jabong.com. Like I said, I am going to start with work soon so I thought let’s do a bit of shopping and get myself all worked up. I bought few formal shirts and blouses, got a few scarves. While I was looking for that perfect office wear lipstick, I reached Jabong. Its quite rare that we girls buy cosmetics from Jabong.com. We usually go to that beauty centric website to buy something because we think we’ll get a better discount there. I was eyeing the Lakme 9 to 5 Range collection for office wear shades.

Beauty Shopping Experience with Jabong.com

I compared across all platforms and found Jabong selling the Lakme lipsticks at the cheapest price. I received this at a discounted price of Rs. 360 originally it is for Rs. 450. Quite a deal..Isn’t it? The 9 to 5 range is the best when you are looking for basic pinks, browns and mauves which are wearable and also feels comfortable on lips. I love the lakme 9 to 5 range for the light feel and longevity. I have loads of bright lipsticks and hardly any nude or browns. As usual, my order arrived within 3 days with proper bubble wrap packaging. The lipstick was housed in Jabong’s small cardboard orange box. That is something rare!

Beauty Shopping Experience with Jabong.com

So this is how the shade looks on me.. It gives me a feel of “My lips but better”. The shade Red chaos is nowhere near to Red like you can see. Don’t know what Lakme was thinking while naming the shades? But I am happy with the texture, shade and longevity.  Jabong is my online shopping destination for apparels but now I can trust the website for beauty buying too. I loved the endless discounts they have on major brands. If there is no sale one can always make use of Jabong coupons to buy the products pending in the wishlist. I do this often, I keep collecting things in my cart and as soon as there is any discounts or coupons available. I quickly go ahead and make the purchase. I have bought stuff like NIKE, PUMA, VERO MODA using the trick.  And now I do the same with L’Oreal, Make up Revolution etc. Do check out Jabong.com for the latest offers on clothes, beauty etc. I can’t share everything on blog so those of you who want to see my purchases. Follow me on snapchat: erica.eleganza.  I share my life on Snapchat which includes a lot of shopping of course 😛

Studiowest Maaya Crystal Eyeshadow M03 Goldmine Review & Swatches

Hello ladies,

Studiowest Maaya Crystal Eyeshadow M03 Goldmine Review & Swatches
Studiowest Maaya Crystal Eyeshadow M03 Goldmine Review & Swatches

The other day I went shopping to Westside exclusively to shop something from Studiowest. Bidisha from mermaidbidisha raved about this all the time and I couldn’t help but pick few of the stuff to try out this new brand. This brand is not available in all the Westside stores in Mumbai. I picked mine from Korum Mall, Thane. I visited Westside from Borivali and Infinity Mall, Malad. I couldn’t find the counters there. Incase you are planning to visit Westside make sure you first call them up. They do have bath and body products and perfume from Studiowest everywhere but not the beauty counter. By the way I am glad I picked up this brand. I picked up a lipstick from Pure Passion, 2 nailpolish, a blush from Maaya and this Crystal eyeshadow in Goldmine from Maaya again. Maaya is the premium brand from the range.

The packaging is simple nothing fancy. It looks just like a compact eyeshadow trio should look. The transparent lid makes it easy to see through the shades. It also comes with a black applicator which is good enough for application. However, you will definitely need your blending brush to blend the eyeshadows.

My Experience with StudioWest Maaya Cyrstal Eyeshadow Goldmine-

Honestly I am not someone who would pick eye shadows so randomly. But I loved the colour combination of this eyeshadow. It’s a mix of gold, cranberry and brown. It looks so festive. I tried it at the counter and boy it was so well pigmented. I had to pick it up plus it only cost Rs.425. There was just no reason to not pick it up. The textures of these eyeshades are satin soft. The fall outs were very less which really impressed me. It blends out seamlessly. I like the fact that these are so affordable yet has a remarkable quality. Westside have maintained the standards, this range can easily give tough competition to other drugstore brands. They are travel friendly and compact enough to just slip in your pouch. The colors are festive and trendy. The quantity is good enough for the price. Perfect for this shaadi season. It will match most of our heavy lehengas , saarees and anarkalis. You can even create a beautiful VALENTINE’S Day look with this. I love the cranberry shade in this trio. It is such a bridal shade. Overall, I am amazed with the range and looking forward to experiment more products from this brand. How I wish that they start selling online and easily accessible to us. The eyeshadows is definitely a 11/10 for me.

Pros-

  • Great pigmentation
  • Beautiful colors
  • Less fallout
  • Super Affordable
  • Blends easily
  • Satin texture

Cons-

  • Availability

Ratings- 5/5

My Recommendation- Go for Goldmine with your eyes closed. The colors are such that it will come handy on any occasion. A big thumbs up for the pigmentation and texture.

My H(o)aul from Sephora, Studio West, Forever 21 and more!

Hello Sunshine,

HAUL

On this bright Sunday morning, I felt like doing a bit of activity. I have shopped like crazy in last month so I thought let me show you things that I bought and few of them are gifts which I got. By the way this is my first haul post on my blog. I am super shopaholic. These days the courier fella comes daily at my door. My mom has totally given up on me; she knows inspite of telling her so much she is still going to shop. I went bonkers in December and January. I tried to control so much but the deals were way too tempting and I promised myself once the sale gets over. I am going on a diet shopping. Also, Sephora opened their store in Mumbai, the one and only at Palladium Mall, Lower Parel. I won their launch contest and got VIP access to Sephora store and I was amongst the first 5 customer (including Kangana Ranawat) who was inside the store. I also received few goodies and got to get my hands on the products before the crazy crowd outside.  So lets go check what all I have….

HAUL

So I bought the Daily Smooth Soap and Glory Body Butter full size, the fragrance is awesome and keeps my skin hydrated for long. Sephora Rouge Cream lipstick in Mr. Lover R10 which I found a gorgeous shade and Sephora nourishing lip balm which is amazingggg! It keeps my super chapped lips soft and smooth. Love this! The goodies I received were the Benefit Dream Invisible Sunscreen and Thierry Mugler perfume in Alien. Yippie!!!

HAUL

Next I bought the Studio West Cosmetics from Westside. Bidisha from mermaidbidisha was too excited to try this range and suggested that I should check out this brand. So I went to Westside especially to get few of these. Let me tell you they are amazeballs. Especially the eyeshadow trio and lipstick from Pure passion. So I picked 2 nailpolish, 262 tropical crush and 560 Hot coral. Maaya Radiance Blush in M04-Bronze which I use as a bronzer because I wanted one and not a blush. I like this for contouring. Maaya Crystal Eyeshadow in M03- Goldmine. This is such a gorgeous trio, absolutely beautiful texture and superb pigmentation. Pure Passion lipstick in Hint of Brick which is a unique shade, lasting colour for the price.

HAUL

Then I went to Forever 21 and picked up these small cuties. The love & beauty beautyblender/make up sponge, another make up sponge and eyebrow razor (2pieces). The Real techniques brushes are from Amazon and they are soft as fur. It’s the sculpting brush and blush brush. Blush brush is big and fluffy which also makes it a great powder brush. Absolute love material!

HAUL

Here I have 20 make up wedges from QVS, Maybelline superstay lipstick in Non stop red (repurchased), Faces Ultimate Pro Lip crayon in Midnight Rose and Sugar Coated with sharpener. I also picked up a lip contour pencil from Faces, it’s the shade Coral Pink. I got the go chic lip gloss Caramefised free with the purchase. The Body Shop lip balm in Raspberry and Plum Kajal. Most of these are from Beauty Centre. Only the make up wedges is from Westside.

HAUL

Cetaphil daily advance ultra hydrating lotion is my saviour this winter. When everything failed on me, I picked this up and it really works on the drier parts of my face. I am combination skin but the dry areas are getting super dry in this season and this fixed it. Then I got this cute hand mirror from Beauty Centre in Silver. Quite Handy Eh!

HAUL

Last but not the least is the love I received from Michigan based Indian Youtuber Bidisha. She is like my bestie, I loved meeting her and Priyanka. When I met Bidisha I never felt I am meeting her for the first time. That’s because we keep Facetiming each other regularly. I love the fact how generous she has been with the gifts and she just knew what exactly I wanted. I never even had to tell her what I wanted. There is NYX Aria Lipstick, Milani lipstick in Nude Crème, Milani Blush in Berry amore, Fake eyelashes from Kiss, Covergirl SuperSizer Mascara, Glam Chick Make Up Kit, a floral hand bracelet, a cute lil’ pouch with a hand written note. Thank You Doll! <3

HAUL

HAUL

Thats It! I hope you all liked my HAUL! Let me know which one is your favourite? Also if you want me to review any product? I will be more than HAPPY to do so!

Lots of Love,

Ric

How to Pamper Your Skin in Winters

All of us love winter. The lovely breeze and the cozy coffee make our hearts bloom. But with all these we sometimes forget to pamper our skin. Winter has the ability of taking moisture from your skin, making you look dull and lifeless. The question is; are you going to let this happen to you? If your answer is ‘’no’’, which we are quite sure that it is, we recommend you to spare two minutes and rehash things which you are already aware of!

Moisturising is a must for a beautiful skin. With regular practise, you will notice softer and more radiant and glowing skin. Of course the easy way is just dab the cream but a little more knowledge will go a long way. Take a look!

  1. COVERING YOUR FEET AND HANDS AT NIGHT- winter can really make your hands and feet look like those of crows! No offence but we all would agree to this in our deep conscious. Here is how you can combat it. Just apply loads of moisturising cream on your hands and feet. You can apply any cream which suits your skin. Biotique products are good. But if you find them expensive, you may try regular boro-plus. Take huge amount and massage. The trick to get the deep moisture is that you must cover your feet and palm. Wear socks and gloves. This ensures that the moisture sets deep in your pores. Do this daily. Within three to four days, you are bound to notice the difference. Your hands and feet will appear soft and glowy as feather.
  2. MORNING- winter morning is not only restricted to difficulty in getting up, it has the habit of leaving you feel dry. The knuckles, elbows, neck and lips are most affected. Do not worry. Just take the effort of applying your cream on these areas.
  3. POST BATH- so bathing does take away little moisture! Replace your regular soap with moisture laden body wash. After bathing, massage yourself with moisturising cream. You may also choose olive oil. This is extremely important if you are targeting healthy glowing and soft skin. Olive oil can be used on lips as well. It will make it pink naturally with regular usage. Another thing which you must keep in mind is that you must keep your hair dandruff free. If your hair has dandruff, take all the steps to get it removed. It may have severe effect on your skin. A healthy scalp is a prerequisite for a healthy soft skin. Wash your hair at least thrice weekly.
  4. CARRY YOUR MOISTURISING LOTION WITH YOU- so if you are a student or an office goer, you are very much aware that that anything applied in the morning doesn’t last for long. Carry your small handy bottle of cream and apply it after 4-5 hours of first usage. Remember, good skin is never difficult to achieve. Many of us never get it only because we are never persistent in our effort. Love yourself and love your skin. Give it what it deserves.

YOU WERE BORN TO SHINE! 🙂

Schwarzkopf Supersoft Colour Shine Shampoo Review

Hello dearies,

Schwarzkopf Supersoft Colour Shine Shampoo Review

I know I have been MIA for a very long time. December went away then New Years got over and now I am writing something almost after a week from New Years. Well, I don’t know what I have been doing lately. I am so busy with my family and friends. I told you my relatives have come from USA so my whole schedule has gone for a toss and blogging has taken a backseat. But I am dedicated to write more from this year and give my best to my blog. So here I am with writing on Schwarzkopf Supersoft Colour Shine Shampoo. Many of my friends kept asking me what shampoo and conditioner I have been using lately for my coloured hair. Well, I keep switching in between conditioners, but this shampoo has been the best stuff I’ve chosen for my hair. My second option was always Streax colorgard shampoo. Both the shampoos work great for me but this is definitely better. I found this awesome product in Beauty Centre Mumbai. I picked it up randomly as it was from Schwarzkopf. I am glad I trusted my gut.

Product Description

  • Provides extra long-lasting colour protection and intensive shine.
  • Smoothes and cares for the hair structure of coloured hair.
  • Radiant and long-lasting colour shine.

Price – I got this for Rs.200 for 400ml from Beauty centre. The price varies everywhere. You can buy this online though.

Packaging – I like the red hot packaging which is also very sturdy. It comes with a flip flop packaging. It is travel friendly. But there is no small bottle available in this. So I guess I’ll take some of the shampoo in a small bottle instead of carrying this big bottle. The packaging looks attractive and stylish.

Schwarzkopf Supersoft Colour Shine Shampoo Review

My Experience with Schwarzkopf Supersoft Colour Shine Shampoo-

Incase you are wondering if I have done any recent hair colouring then let me enlighten you that I have not. I have coloured my hair last year on Christmas. My hair colour has faded a bit but not gone completely. I have invested in many shampoos and conditioners to protect the hair color. I was pretty satisfied with Streax but I wanted something extraordinary. So I thought of picking this up for a try.  With the very first wash my hair felt silky smooth and soft. I was so happy that I was taking pictures and sending to my besties group showing them how soft the hair looked. I can tell you it’s the shampoo because the conditioner was the same old one from Streax that I was using. I couldn’t find the conditioner from Schwarzkopf. The shampoo is bit runny in consistency, it lathers really well. The fragrance is too mild to get noticed. It helps in cleaning the scalpe well and remove oil dirt, grime and greasiness. My hair looks very shiny and soft after shampooing my hair. The colour of my hair looks glossy. Also hair looks sorted and doesn’t get tangles easily as compared to other shampoos I’ve tried. I can run my fingers through my hair. I swear by this shampoo for my highlighted hair. It isn’t that pricey for the quantity it comes. The only problem with this is the availability and the price difference in the retail and online shops.

Pros

  • Colour protection and makes it look glossy
  • Gives smooth and soft hair
  • Cleanse hair thoroughly
  • Doesn’t tangle hair
  • Added shine to overall hair
  • Good quantity
  • Repairs damaged hair
  • Sturdy attractive packaging
  • Very affordable

Cons

  • Price variation

Ratings – 5/5

My Recommendation– If you have coloured/highlighted hair and looking for a hair color protecting shampoo try this. I have bought two bottles in my stock so that I don’t run out of stock.
