Hello Gorgeous,

Urban Decay Naked Smoky Eyeshadow Palette Review

Happy “Smoky Eyes Week’ to everyone. There is big news for all you, UD Lovers! Urban Decay is selling off the Smoky palette for half the price i.e $27.00 as they are going to discontinue this palette soon. I don’t even know why have they suddenly decided to discontinue it considering the fact that its one heck of a Bestseller! It’s been on every girl’s wishlist since like school. I bought this palette during the December-January sale on Sephora and luckily I got it for $27.00 too. I thought why not review this amazing palette before you think of purchasing it. After all, it’s one of my most cherished palettes and getting this baby home was almost like a dream come true. Mind you, it’s an achievement for any beauty enthusiast to have an Urban Decay palette, it’s more like having an iPhone in the world full of Androids 😛 (No offence to Android Lovers)

The case and brush feature a cool floating smoke effect, with “Naked Smoky” in gunmetal foil. To add to the mysterious vibe, we set the shadow pans in a smoky transparent base. The magnetic closure on the case prevents shadow mishaps in your bag, and the full-size mirror makes it easy to get Naked whenever the urge strikes.

Packaging- The palette comes in a very chic, sexy and sturdy packaging. It looks like smoke engraved on the case; this palette’s packaging is quite unique unlike the other two versions of Naked palettes which looked pretty simple. The palette is slightly heavier but sturdier than other palettes and includes a big mirror and a dual ended brush. The dual ended brush is of very good quality and can be used single handedly to create smokey looks. Since the palette is sturdy you can count in for being travel friendly.

My Experience with Urban Decay Naked Smoky Eyeshadow Palette-

I always wanted a Smoky Eyeshadow palette and what could be better than having an original Urban Decay Naked Smoky Eyeshadow palette. I don’t have any other Urban Decay Eyeshadow palette other than the Naked Smoky palette but I am truly impressed with the super high pigmentation and smooth texture of the eyeshadows in this palette. The eyeshadow palette comes with a big mirror and a dual ended brush. The dual ended brush acts as a blending brush and as a smudge brush. Now even if you run out of your makeup brushes during travelling, this single brush will be your Saviour. The eyeshades are mix of matte, satins and shimmery which includes shades from beige-brown to greyish-blacks. You wouldn’t need any shades outside the palette to create your smokey eyes. I didn’t use any primer while creating the look yet it showed so well on my eyelids. I am sure an eyebase or primer will increase the intensity of these eyeshadows. Also, I noticed there were no fall outs from this eyeshadows. I have Coastal scents eyeshadows and I have BH cosmetics eyeshaow palette they all have lovely colors but do have fall outs. I never faced that issue with the Naked Smoky palette. The eyemakeup doesn’t wear out and stay for around 8-9hrs easily. I think this is the reason why Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palettes are so expensive. If you prefer having high end palettes that has great pigmentation and shades for your smoky eye tutorials, you will love Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette.  The only Con is that it’s not easily available and of course they are pricey. However, it is best to invest on it now since it’s on sale. I created a simple smokey look on Ganesh Chaturthi using this palette and loved how it looked on me. What do you think?
