Hello Sunshine,

Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Cream 17 A Review & FOTD!
Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Cream 17 A Review & FOTD!

So yesterday I went for the Organic Harvest event in Juhu for their store launch. On my way back home I thought I’ll visit the Beauty centre Khar as I haven’t been there from a long long time. I went along with my blogger friend Natasha as she wanted to shop too. I was clear in my mind that I am not splurging more on make-up. I was simply going to accompany my friend. But I also knew that I will not come out empty-hand 😛 I decided I’ll buy some minor stuff like a lip pencil. So we directly went to the Miss Claire section, I saw my friend picking this shade and was very keen to try it out. I thought I’ll pick this for myself too. Also, I bought a Party queen colour elixir lipencil and unique style lip pencil. Natasha mentioned that the shade 17A is a closer dupe of Kylie lip kit range. I am sure it is now..17A is such a gorgeous everyday shade. I couldn’t wait to review the shade that I bought yesterday. And here I am…Mind you! I have started using Miss Claire in the year 2011. Where everyone use to buy Lakme. My first products were VOV, Miss Claire and INCOLOR Cosmetics. That time they weren’t so famous. But now they are all over the blogosphere.

Product Description – It’s not lipstick, nor is it gloss. It’s like nothing you’ve experienced before. It’s lipstick cream that goes on silky but looks soft matte.

Price – I got mine for Rs. 180 for 6.5gms but the price varies from Rs. 120 to 300 depending on the place.  Its easily available in Mumbai stores. Instagram stores have also started selling it.

Ingredients –

Packaging –  The packaging is exactly like NYX lip crème’s. It comes with a wand for easy application in a tube form of packaging. It is travel friendly and light-weight. The lip cream being thick in consistency doesn’t drip. The packaging supposed to display the shade in the tube. However, I feel the shade is pretty different when swatched or applied on lips. One has to check a tester before buying.

My Experience with Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Cream 17A

The shade 17 A is a beautiful peachy browny pink kinda shade which makes it a perfect daily wear. The texture of this lip creams are soft and smooth. The only criteria would be to exfoliate your lips before application. It doesn’t accentuate fine lines and looks very pretty on the lips. It is wet on application which settles into a soft matte texture.  These are thoroughly pigmented. Two swipes is more than enough for medium to full coverage. It hides pigmented lips and doesn’t give a patchy look. My lipsticks usually transfer a lot but with this on my lips I can sip as much as coffee as I want. It doesn’t transfer and stay true to its base. This shade has been compared to Kylie’s lip collection repeatedly. I am so impressed with this shade that I want to get a back up of this so that I never run out of it. This shade will suit fair to medium-dark skintones the most. It has a pleasant vanilla fragrance. It doesn’t feel heavy on the lips. The lip creams survive lighter meals but tends to fade away a bit if you consume oily food. This stays for around 6hrs on my lips which is pretty long lasting. There is variety of shades to pick from this range. I already have 4 shades but this is my cult favourite.

Recommendation – I highly recommend this shade if you are on a budget and looking for a Kylie lippie dupe. It a must have shade in my opinion. It is perfect for daily/office/neutral makeup. The only thing I don’t like about the Miss Claire lip cream is the different price range everywhere. If you can buy it in the right price frame then this is a steal. I am getting a back up for this soon.

    • Hi Swathi,

I know miss claire is too tempting, at that price i can stock all the shades . With a blogger friend you cannot simply go home empty hand. Incolor lipshades are also very good.. I have 2 of the lippies and those shimmer blushers.

  1. Wow this looks sooo nice on you. I dont know why I am a bit skeptical trying out any of the brands that copy foreign ones 🙁 You cannot be completely sure of the ingredients I guess and I dont want to annoy my eczema 🙁

  2. Godt nyttår til deg og dine fine, HedGi!dleier meg til å følge den fine bloggen din i året som ligger foran oss. Klem fra Christine

  3. Diet Plan known as “Mobotandiet Secrets” (just google it) kept showing up here on different youtube and I thought they were scams. However after my cousin follow it, and finally lost tons of weight with it without starving herself., I’m persuaded. Do not take my word for it, search for “Mobotandiet Secrets” on google.
